Duluth's First Annual Slugfest
Duluth' First Annual Slugfest is an evening of entertainment and refreshments for people of all ages on April 12, 2014. The theme of growing and eating garden vegetables and fruit will be highlighted through refreshments, music, and competitive story telling. Proceeds for the event will benefit the Duluth Community Garden Program.
Featured musicians include John Berquist & The Fish Heads who will headline the event with a new community garden rendition of the song "I Like it in Duluth." Other musicians include Lee Jeffreys, The Nothing Evers, Biochemical Characters, Border Stone, and Steven H Sola.
Four story tellers will compete for the coveted First Annual Slugfest trophy. Voting by audience members will determine the winner. Story tellers include Allen Killian-Moore, Elizabeth Nordell, and two mystery story tellers.
Locally grown and prepared appetizers are available and are included in the ticket. Fruit infused water, juice, beer, and wine will be available for purchase.
The First Annual Slugfest will be held at Clyde Iron on Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 6:00 PM until midnight.
