Professional Series #4 Business Development is Everyone's Business: Engaging Your Staff in Your Organization's Marketing Effort
Most times, it's not enough for the marketing or business development team to implement firm-wide change they need to have alliances within their firm for success. Experts in their field within the A/E/C industry will share and instruct how by working together, their combined lessons learned and best practices have made their firm a success. Attendees are encouraged to invite a representative within each related department of their firm to share in the learning.

SPECIAL "BRING A WORK COLLEAGUE" EVENT PRICING:
Normally, these evening session are individually price at $50 per person, but due to the special nature of our "tag team" presentations, attendees are encouraged to invite a colleague within their firm to share in the learning at $25 per person!


Description
Project Managers and staff designers often participate in business development without realizing it: their daily interaction with clients during a project is an opportunity to leave these decision-makers with the best impression of the firm. This opportunity often gets lost as the staff focuses their attention to meeting project goals and day-to-day deadlines. This workshop will begin with a dialogue about best practices for engaging staff in business development, including how to help them strengthen client relationships, identify new project opportunities and define steps for follow-up, and educate them about how marketing functions are part of your organization. Recognizing that each firm differs in its approach to marketing, we will conclude with a brainstorm session to help attendees tailor these methods to best fit their firm's culture.  

Speakers:
Lloyd Bush, CID, LEED AP is Principal/Director of Interior Design at Polytech Associates, and serves as the liaison between the firm's leadership and marketing team. Lloyd has over 30 years of varied experience, beginning his career as an interior designer with Anshen + Allen, representing Kaiser Permanente as Interior designer and Project Coordinator, and working with MG West as a Project Manager and Account Manager. Lloyd received his Bachelor of Interior Architecture at the University of Oregon.

Marielle Neri, Polytech Associates' Director of Business Development, is responsible for leading the firm's marketing efforts, researching target clients and developing capture plans for client pursuits. She also manages Polytech's communications activities, developing proposals, presentations, and the annual public relations plan. A former graphic designer, she maintains Polytech's branding standards, ensuring that all graphic elements communicate our firm's values. Marielle holds a Master of Science from Pratt Institute and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California.


Registration starts at 5:00pm, the event takes place from 5:30pm-7:00 pm
