Urban Tango is a production by Makela Brizuela, performed by women and men of the Los Angeles Argentine tango community who have their own careers outside of dance. Celebrated through the music and the dance of the tango, this story provides an unusual glimpse into the struggles, frustrations, and realizations in the discovery of this extraordinary and complex dance, as seen through the eyes of the female social dancer. Humorous and poignant, it is a journey of the challenges and personal growth of women through the exploration of Tango.
