Description
Richard Hugo House presents Dead Poets Society, a celebration of National Poetry Month with readings of famous dead poets Charles Bukowski, T.S. Eliot, Langston Hughes, Sylvia Plath and Gertrude Stein by local poets, on Thursday, April 9, 7:30 p.m. at Richard Hugo House.

For Dead Poets Society, local poets Storme Webber (Langston Hughes), Felicia Gonzalez (Gertrude Stein), Jeremy Richards (T.S. Eliot), Kate Lebo (Sylvia Plath) and Brian McGuigan (Charles Bukowski) will portray a dead poet from the canon and read his or her work; it will be part costume party, part poetry reading. As an extra wrinkle since Hugo Houses mission is to support new work, all of the poets will write one original poem in the vein of, inspired by or in response to a work or the life of their selected writer.

For more information, please visit hugohouse.org or call (206) 322-7030.
