The Lavender Convention
The Lavender Convention is a positive response to the historical exclusion of LGBT people from religious institutions. The Lavender Convention seeks healing and transformation by inviting the LGBT Community to a celebration of its spiritual essence. It is a a forum for LGBT affirming communities of faith to come together for fellowship, learning, and worship. The Lavender Convention is designed to touch the spiritual nature of LGBT individuals and create a vision of a community and society that includes everyone who seeks a spiritual pathway.
The event will run from 10AM to 4:30Pm. Lunch will be provided.
Cost: 15.00 Free for Youth 14-18.

Opening Session featuring five different Religious Traditions
Keynote Speaker Father Geoffrey Farrow
Fresno Gay Men's Chorus
Breakout Sessions including a theological panel and Q&A with Keynote Speaker
It will truly be a day of fun, education, and spiritual connection. This event is unique and entails an initiative as well as the event. The purpose of the Lavender People's Initiative is to move to inclusion of LGBT in all religious and faith communities without limitations.

Those welcome are essentially everyone. You do not have to be attending any congregation. We welcome anyone interested in spirituality including our agnostic friends.
The Lavender Convention does not endorse any particular path to spirituality. It is up to You!
