VisionFest 06 is Filmmakers Alliance's 9th annual Vision Award Presentation, Screening and Gala party held at the Directors Guild of America Theater Complex on August 16th, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.. It is a prestigious celebration bringing together best of L.A.'s independent filmmaking community.
The Vision Award is presented to an established filmmaker whose artistic ambition and excellence inspires emerging filmmakers around the world. Past recipients include Mike Figgis, Terry Gilliam, Wim Wenders, Allison Anders, Alexander Payne and David O. Russell.
The Presentation is followed by a selection of the best short films produced through FA and/or created by FA members throughout the previous year. The evening finishes with an elegant, but high-energy party in the DGA lobby featuring full bars and catered by some L.A.'s best restaurants.
