Tonight Mulvey releases a new album, Silver Ladder, of which he says: "It was produced by the mighty Chuck Prophet and I've never poured more heart and soul into a work in my life . . . writing the songs has been a two-year burst of heat lightning on my horizons."
Peter Mulvey has pursued a restless, eclectic path as a writer and musician - immersing himself in Tin Pan Alley, modern acoustic, poetry, narrative, and Americana stylings. Whatever music he's making, it's exactly what he wants to be doing and his engagement in the moment is intoxicating for live audiences. He has also shared the stage with luminaries such as Emmylou Harris, Richard Thompson, Ani DiFranco, Indigo Girls, and Greg Brown, and has attracted an audience that stretches from Anchorage to Amsterdam.
Opener The Suitcase Junket is the nationally touring, throat-singing, slide-guitar playing, one-man-band of Matt Lorenz, especially invited to open tonight's show by Mr. Peter Mulvey.
