Gargiulo Education Center's Wine and Wishes
Spend a night granting wishes! Join the Gargiulo Education Center for an evening of sparkling wine tasting, learning, auctioning, and conversing. The event is presented to you by wine educator Michael Apstein, the Naples Wine Collection, and Saboram luxury cheesecakes.
The Gargiulo Education Center, a not-for-profit organization, strives to support the academic and social development of Collier County migrant children through a free, safe, and structured after school program.
The Center currently hosts 52 K-12 migrant students, the majority of whose parents work at Gargiulo Inc., the local tomato packing plant. The students have big dreams and wishes for their futures, and they need our help to realize them.
Michael Apstein, M.D., is a columnist for WineReviewOnline.com, a contributor to the San Francisco Chronicle, James Beard Award winner for wine writing, former wine columnist for the Boston Globe, a wine educator for more than 20 years, and a judge for numerous national and international wine competitions.
Naples Wine Collection specializes in small production wines, hard to find wines, larger formats and fine gifts.
SABORAM sells luxury cheesecakes in various flavors to numerous gourmet vendors, captured national attention on CBS Sunday morning in 2011, and was interviewed by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. SABORAM has been endorsed by Nicholas Allen of Carte Blanche Winery, Bob Hurley of Hurley's Restaurant, and has received numerous other accolades.
100% of the ticket proceeds will directly benefit the 52 students at the Gargiulo Education Center. 5% of any wine purchases made throughout the evening will benefit the Center.
