Bellevue Walk & Talk: Shape Your Future hosted by Feet First
Attend the Feet First Bellevue Walk & Talk on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and connect with city, business, and community leaders. Space is limited, reserve your spot today.

Over the next couple of years major transportation investments and land use changes will shape the future of Bellevue. Now is the time to join the conversation to ensure that there are safe, inviting, and accessible places for people of all ages and abilities to walk.

During this FREE interactive event, we will stop at eight designated locations and discuss how leaders envision creating a walkable community in this area.

Highlights of the Bellevue Walk & Talk include:

-Find out how Sound Transit is planning to make the Hospital Link light rail station accessible for people.

-Hear from Eastside Heritage Center about the history of Bellevue, evolution and creating new history while honoring the past.

-Learn about future use of the Eastside Rail Corridor, and highlights about opportunities for improvements.

-Understand the perspective of neighborhood leaders and how they are working to leverage common interests to make this a vibrant area.

-Get an up close perspective from the city about their plans to create great places to get around by foot whether you are walking to work, to the store, to school, or to your home.

DETAILS

WHEN: Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The walk will take approximately one hour. The walk will end with a hosted reception sponsored by Group Health.

WHERE: Meet at the Group Health Gazebo at the corner of 116th Avenue NE and NE 8th Street, Bellevue WA 98004

Since 2001, Feet First has worked to ensure all communities in Washington are walkable. Feet First Walk & Talk events foster active civic engagement and are designed to showcase area redevelopment incorporating features to promote walking and to create safe, inviting, accessible places for all people to walk. This event supports the Sound Access for All campaign.
