Handel's Theater Music - A Collaboration with Seattle Early Dance
Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall Seattle, WA
The magic of the theater was alive and well in 18th-century London. Seattle Baroque Orchestra brings that magic to Seattle with this long-awaited collaboration with Seattle Early Dance! We'll sample Handel's music for the theater as well as two of his sublime opus 3 Concerti Grossi, Purcell's King Arthur Suite, and music of Charles Avison Croft. Members of Seattle Early Dance, led by esteemed Baroque dancer Anna Mansbridge, lend their spirited charm to this grandly festive close to our season.
