Brian Asawa Sings Vivaldi
Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall Seattle, WA
Brian Asawa is one of the most sought-after countertenors working today, known for the power of his distinctive voice as well as its sensuous delicacy. Fresh from a run with Seattle Opera, he joins Seattle Baroque Orchestra for a riveting all-Italian program to include Vivaldi's dramatic cantata "Cessate, omai cessate" as well as arias from his opera "L'Olimpiade." SBO's virtuoso violinists provide fireworks of their own in works by Corelli, Geminiani, Castello and Veracini.
