Hearing Voices - Third Angle at the Wonder
April 27, 2007 | 8:00 pm
Wonder Ballroom

Third Angle returns to the fabulous Wonder Ballroom with a program of music and spoken word, featuring acclaimed Northwest author and film director Sherman Alexie as guest narrator. Mr. Alexie has published 17 books, including "The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven", and wrote and directed the critically acclaimed film "Smoke Signals", released at the Sundance Film Festival.

The program includes several of Mr. Alexie's poems set to the music of Native American Jazz artist Jim Pepper, arranged for Third Angle by Gordon Lee (local jazz pianist extraordinaire). Also on the program are works by Steve Reich, Jon Deak, Alvin Singleton, Fredrik Rzewski, Aaron Kernis, and a reading from Mr. Alexie's new novel "Flight", released in April 2007.
