SLFF - Presents Pulitzer Prize-winner Journalist Mirta Ojito
The Seattle Latino Film Festival (SLFF) is proud to announce a special book signing of Hunting Season: Immigration and Murder in an All-American Town with its author, Mirta Ojito, Pulitzer Prize-winner Journalist and Professor at Columbia University.  Prior to Mrs. Ojito reading excerpts from her book, there will be the Seattle Premiere of the documentary: Running Wild in Spanish and English with English subtitles (2009, USA, 32 min.), directed by Angel Canales and Tamara Bock. This documentary brings to life the murder of Marcelo Lucero, a 37 year old Ecuadorian immigrant, by a group of teenagers, which is the focus of the book. The KCTS9 producer and anchor Enrique Cerna (KCTS9) will be its host.
