Women and Birth Symposium: Celebrating 30 Years of ICAN of Greater Cleveland
Join us at this FREE community event as ICAN of Greater Cleveland celebrates 30 years of outreach and monthly meetings in honor of normal birth. Our efforts support women wishing to avoid unnecessary cesareans, as well as those healing from cesarean surgery, planning vaginal births after cesarean (VBAC) and preparing for their first birth experience.
The half-day agenda (11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) will provide information and inspiration to birthing families and the professionals who work with them.
TOPICS AND SPEAKERS:
VBAC Policies: Interpretation, Motivation and the Perception of Risk with Jen Kamel of VBACFacts.com -- earn 3.3 contact hours for a $15 fee
"Finding the Courage to Birth" with Roanna Rosewood (author of "Cut, Stapled, & Mended: How One Woman Reclaimed Her Body and Gave Birth on Her Own Terms after Cesarean")
Light refreshments will be served.
