LESA TERRY - JAZZ ON THE SACRED SIDE
Lesa Terry is at the vanguard of contemporary jazz interpretation. She is an artist extraordinaire whose unique base of knowledge and creative genius colors every performance with distinctive innovation, astounding depth and unparalleled passion.
Her 2008 appearances include the North Atlantic Fiddle Conference in St. Johns, Newfoundland, World Sacred Music Festival in Los Angeles, CA, the Women in Jazz series at the Schomburg Center in New York City, NY, and Jazz In The Gardens, a residency in Kingston, Jamaica. Most recently she performed in the orchestral accompaniment to Aretha Franklin at the 2009 presidential inauguration
Lesa has captivated audiences with her Womens Jazz Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowls 2006 Playboy Jazz Festival, and in performances, lectures, clinics and master classes with the Uptown String Quartet and the Max Roach Double Quartet.
