California Building Code Update Seminar with Steve Winkel, FAIA, PE, CASp
Steven Winkel, FAIA, PE, CASp, the Architect Commissioner on the California Building Standards Commission will give a 2 hour seminar about the major changes in the 2013 California Building Code, (CBC), Title 24, Part 2, which went into effect on January 1, 2014. One half of the seminar will cover significant changes to the basic building code. The other half of the course will provide information on the changes to CBC Chapter 11B for accessibility for public accommodations, which has been changed to align with the 2010 ADA Standards. The course will provide 2 hours of AIA Continuing Education for HSW. It will also cover one hour of the five hours of accessibility continuing education needed for architectural re-licensure.
