LHF Pacific Northwest Seventh Annual Benefit Dinner sponsored by Herban Feast. A journey to Laos unlike any other.|
SEATTLE, WA -- For the seventh year in a row, on the evening of March 30th, 2014, the Lao Heritage Foundation Pacific Northwest Chapter (LHF) will host its Seventh Annual Benefit Dinner at The Foundry by Herban Feast in the SODO district. The Sevent Annual Benefit Dinner sponsored by Herban Feast, will transcend you into a world of Lao foods, sights, smells, and sounds.
You will be welcomed to the Seventh Annual Benefit Dinner by models in Lao traditional outfits taking you through time, a rare opportunity to see these delicate and intricate pieces on full display up close. All pieces are handmade and brought in directly from Laos.
Chef Siri Martinet of award-winning catering, Herban Feast, will specially prepare a menu of traditional Lao hors d'oeuvres followed by a traditional Lao buffet dinner that will entice all your taste buds. The event will also feature a dessert bar baked by a local pastry chef, coffee/tea stations, and a cash bar for beers and wines.
Kinnaly Lao Traditional Music & Dance Troupe, a program of LHF, will be performing several pieces learned during their Cultural Exchange Program in Laos. Both performances will be performed on live music by the sounds of the Kinnaly music students.
The bustling Lao Night Market will feature souvenirs; hand made trinkets brought in directly from Laos, beautiful hand embroidered silk Lao textiles, and delicious snacks you can take home to share the culture of Laos. All profits made from the 'Champa Night Market' will go directly towards LHF's programs.
To keep you up and moving we'll have DJ Keo on the ones and twos. DJ Keo has been spinning for years and currently spins at some of the hottest nightclubs in Seattle.
After all the action, remember the evening with some fun photos getting dressed up in some Lao traditional hats, scarves, and accessories.
