HCYC presents The Sounds of Silents: Music from the Dawn of Film
Hillsboro Community Youth Choir is delighted to present a very special concert for all ages on Saturday, March 1. "The Sound of Silents" will feature guest artist Paul Quarino, a Hillsboro organist who got his start at the Oregon Grinder in Portland.
All songs will be from 1915-1929, before "talkies" were born. Featured songs the HCYC choirs will perform include a trio by composer George Gershwin: Someone to Watch Over Me, The Man I Love, and I've Got a Crush on You. Other songs to be performed include Button Up Your Overcoat; Toot, Toot, Tootsie, Goo'bye; Yes, Sir, That's My Baby; Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue; Ain't Misbehavin'; and Doctor Jazz.
The audience will be invited to sing along for a rousing grand finale.
Tickets available in advance and at the door 30 minutes in advance of concert time.
