Improv Comedy Workshop
Learn Improv Comedy Skills!! Long Form 101: Building Character 3/10/14 at The UC
In this class we will learn the basics of Improv and how to develop strong characters that will propel your scenes forward. Focus on the basics of improv including "Yes and", building a character, object work and motivation in a scene.
This comedy workshop takes place at The Underground Collaborative, 161 W. Wisconsin Ave. Lower Level of the Plankinton Building of the Grand Ave. Mall!
About What is Long-Form? Long-form improv is story based improv, often incorporating short scenes connected by story, characters or themes. Comedians can hone their improvisation, sketch and writing, and stand up comedy skills in a safe and professional environment while building relationships with other comedians.
The Instructor Amanda Eaton a member of Sketch Marks Comedy, performs with Bye Bye Liver and T.I.M. Before Milwaukee, she was a member of Uncle Lina Comedy and Public Enemy (Rochester, NY.) and an ensemble member with Chicago Danztheatre, Imagination Theater and Erasing the Distance (Chicago, IL) and Graduate of Second City Conservatory and Second City Music Improv Conservatory.
