"Women's Voices/Women's Visions"
Musique la Mode is excited to present their 2nd annual "Women's Voices / Women's Visions" event on April 26th, a fusion of sight and sound that will feature some of New York's finest women composers and visual artists. Ten women visual artists will be selected to display their work during the concert on a theme of "dissonance and female experience", alongside a program of music by Jennifer Higdon, Shulamit Ran, among others. In addition, Tara Helen O'Connor, one of New York City's most sought after flutists will be a featured performer on the concert.
Other performers include the Tessera Quartet; Laurie Rubin, Mezzo-Soprano; Jeffrey Worthey, Flute; Jennifer Taira, Clarinet; Edward Klorman, Viola; Hannah Shields, Piano, Angelia Cho, Violin; and Ryosuke Yanagitani, Piano.
Tickets are $15 (advance) and $20 at the door. Limited student tickets are available for $10. Please email info@musiquealamode.com for details.
