Which Way Seattle? Series: Inequality in Public Education

Ethnic Cultural Theatre (University of Washington)
Seattle, WA

Which Way Seattle? is an ongoing series of civic dialogues about local and political affairs that directly impact Seattle's African-American community.  This program will discuss the current inequality in Seattle public schools and the impact on African-American Students. Inequity is seen in the lack of resources in poorer schools, increase in racial segregation, academic tracking, and lack of experienced teachers.

The Seattle Public Schools along with other public schools throughout this country are still strongholds of inequity for African-American students.  Join the CD Forum and a guest of expert panelists as we address how the current system promotes inequity and what can be done about it.
