Beware the Thighs of March
Roller derby is back in town! After a successful start to the 2009 season, the Columbia Quad Squad puts its undefeated record on the line on Sunday, March 1st at 6:30 pm at the Jamil Temple.
The first game of the season was an unexpected blowout as CQS put together its best collective effort ever and outpointed an overmatched Savannah team 171-51. But this next bout should test the CQS squad as the Sintral (Florida) Derby Demons head to town. Sintral posted an undefeated 2008 season and had a chance to watch CQS in November down in Jacksonville, while CQS will see Sintral for the first time on the floor of the Jamil Temple.
But fear not... the women of the Columbia Quad Squad will be out for blood as they push to keep their dreams of an undefeated season alive. The bout begins at 6:30 with doors opening at 5:30. And as always, feel free to come and tailgate in the parking lot beforehand.

Price: $10 adults pre-sale, $12 at the door. Free for kids 10 and under.
Things to know:
Tailgating! Tailgating is allowed but is BYOB. As soon as doors open at 5:30 pm, you will be able to enter and buy beer from our great friends at The Whig. Food will also be available. (Can anyone say corndogs?) Heck yeah!

After Party! We're having the after party at BaWa Oyster Company where the old Cussin' Bills was. Less than a mile from the rink they've promised us plenty of servers, beer specials, food & a DJ. Come party with us right after the bout!
Important details: Roller derby is a hard-hittin', fast-paced sport! There is always a chance that a rollergirl could end up in your lap, so pay attention and enter at your own risk!
