Learn to create your very own Burlesque routine under the tutelage of International performer and educator, Miss Indigo Blue, the TwirlyGirl!
By popular demand, Seattle's Academy of Burlesque is coming to Olympia! The famed Burlesque 101 6-week course as seen in "A Wink And A Smile," shown at the Olympia Film Festival 2008, is coming to town!
Course fee includes Six group lessons, Five private lessons with Miss Indigo Blue, Class 8x10, T-shirt, and a public graduation recital at Jake's in downtown Olympia! Students will learn the fundamentals of Burlesque history and style, develop a character and persona, and create, costume, and choreograph their own routine in a fully supported atmosphere.
The Olympia BQ101 course is scheduled to start on March 30th and commence with a Graduation Recital on May 7 or 10 (we are still finalizing the date). Weekly group classes will be held Mondays from 6-7:30 pm in Central Olympia. Students must be available for one weekly half-hour private sessions during the following times: Monday 3-5 or 8-10, or Tuesday 11a-3p
Tuition is $395 if registered by March 2, $425 after. Register on this site with a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your place. Payment plans are available - please email the contact below for more details. Space is limited to ensure individual attention, so register early!NOTE: No one under 21 years old will be admitted.
