An NEA National Heritage Fellow, Jagoda was born into a singing family in the Sephardic community of Sarajevo more than eighty years ago. Her repertoire and original compositions, such as the popular Chanukah song Ocho Kandelikas, continue to enrich Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) culture.
