Museum Educators of Southern California presents: Interpretation for Young Audiences (A MESC Essentials program)
Date: Monday, March 16, 2009
Time: 9am-12pm with optional lunch
Location: The Children's Museum of La Habra 301 S. Euclid St. La Habra, CA 90631 562-905-9638 www.lhcm.org
Spend a day learning how to connect to the families and children at your institution. An introductory lecture will serve as a base for the day's activities, providing information about child cognition in the world of informal learning. The breakout sessions will then offer different interpretive techniques for teaching children in the museum atmosphere. The Children's Museum of La Habra's varied environments will serve as backdrops against which these techniques are used.
