TASTE 2014: TASTE of Italy Wine Dinner at Il Palio Ristorante
Reserve your space now for an Italian-inspired meal in the elegant Il Palio Ristorante, found within Chapel Hill's Siena Hotel.  Join us for a palate-pleasing 5-course wine dinner that will transport you to Italy as you dine.

Executive Chef Teddy Diggs, new on the scene at Il Palio, will take us on a journey through 5 regions of Italy, with each course inspired by that region's indigenous olive oil. Learn through experience by tasting and comparing the different olive oils. If you want to take home some of Il Palio's own private label olive oil, bottles will be available for purchase.

Wines from four of the regions will be paired to accompany the first 4 courses. Fresh-brewed, locally roasted coffee will be served with the final course, a unique olive oil-inspired dessert.

ABOUT CHEF DIGGS
Teddy Diggs, Executive Chef at Il Palio at The Siena Hotel, arrived in Chapel Hill by way of notable culinary establishments in Martha's Vineyard and Washington, DC.  A 2004 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), Hyde Park, Mr. Diggs has been distinguished as a Rising Star Chef in New England, and as a passionate advocate for sustainable fishing practices. His seasonally-minded dishes feature "restrained" preparation, allowing the authentic flavors and attributes of carefully chosen products to shine.
