Calling all Lovers of Life! Join us before Valentines Day at The Independent for perhaps our liveliest dinner of the year and fall in love with your community!

This month, to 'warm up' for Valentines Day, we're hosting a mini-marketplace flush with chocolates, perfumes, jewelry, boutique fashions & flowers!  Come gift shop from 5-6PM during happy hour and indulge in local wines, beers + free oysters!

Dinner entertainment will astound + arouse you including the barbershop quartet '4 on the Floor', glow show + fire performances by Celsius + The MPYRE Spinners, Dj and ending with the romantic duet of Anne + Pete Sibley!  Plus, Italian Tenor Orazio from Palermo's bakery will belt out an opera favorite to piano accompaniment!  After dessert we'll enjoy an outdoor fire performance after party on the Indy Plaza by Celsius Maximus staged with 'TurtleTron', a local Burning Man art car!!!

You will be WAY ahead of your game if you come with your sweety, and the following week will be like a honeymoon!

A special $30 Discount Ticket is available for Students/Military & Sand City residents with ID.

FOOD: All courses will be served 'family style' on platters to be shared + devoured by friends new and old, so bring a social spirit!  

HAPPY HOUR- Come at 5PM to grab a glass of wine from Le P'Tit Paysan winery or a beer from Post No Bills, claim your seat, and settle into the evening.  Peruse the lovely mini marketplace for treasures for your Valentine.  Appetizers served at 6PM!  

MUSIC:  think barber shop quarter '4 on the floor', lovely local duet Anne + Pete Sibley, fire performances + glow show by Celsius + The MPYRE Spinner, and dance DJ!
Plus  a little Italian Opera!

PLACE:  The Indy Building 600 Ortiz Ave Sand City. Imagine the expansive white interior of the Independent Art Gallery alive with a social seating of folks all enjoying a sequence of appetizers, main dish & desserts provided by the most progressive food artisans from Monterey to Santa Cruz.  Hung on the walls a series of posters illustrates the future of The Independent Marketplace-  come see the plans for this emerging food hub!

15 BEERS on tap and HUNDREDS of bottles from 'Post No Bills' ample selection is available for purchase. Come experience for yourself why Monterey Weekly voted Post No Bills 'Best Selection of Beers' in the county!

WINES will be poured by the glass by from Le P'Tit Paysan!  
Visit the wine bar upon arrival to grab a glass or bottle to share with your table!  Owner Ian Brand has received handfuls of accolades for his innovative approach to creating groundbreaking Monterey County wines- meet the legend in the flesh!
