Fathom Lane with special guests Verskotzi, and Ben Rosenbush
Michael Ferrier and Ashleigh Still of Fathom Lane will be joined by Joey Verskotzi and Ben Rosenbush for a stripped down and acoustic show in the intimate living-room-meets-warehouse space environment of Sweet 317 overlooking the river in the Lowertown area of St. Paul.

You can bring your favorite beverage to enjoy while we entertain you, even the adult kind!

Simply put: it's going to be a great night to get to know some of the best new songwriters in town.

Here is some info on each of the bands, and links to hear their music!

FATHOM LANE:
"With two gorgeous albums in two years, Fathom Lane have quickly emerged as one of the brightest new artists in the Twin Cities.  Fronted by Michael Ferrier, the band manages to create lush soundscapes with strings, lap steel and electric piano augmenting the core band, and finding some kind of unlikely common ground between alt-country and floaty prog rock.  Ferrier's vox are tender and delicate, and often in duets with singing partner Ashleigh Still the band achieves a timeless quality, as on single "Sugardown" or their breathtaking (and prescient) cover of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day," released just weeks before his death." JIM MCGUINN, 89.3 The Current

VERSKOTZI:
"Joey Verskotzi (who performs as Verskotzi  for brevity's sake, I guess) is an old-school singer-songwriter, that beautifully dying breed of chrysalis that used to dominate the rock universe (think: Todd Rundgren especially) . . . Lemon Heart is a magnificent example of the form. It has hints of things you love  power-pop (more Badfinger than Big Star, more Raspberries than REM), chamber-pop (the love of nifty arrangements and perfect harmonies), indie-pop (you'll hear a touch of Superchunk here and there, and you'll love it) and just straight-up perfect melodies and terrific singing all the way through," JON HUNT l'etoile Magazine

BEN ROSENBUSH
"Ben Rosenbush & The Brighton is comprised of the namesake Minneapolis singer-songwriter and his orchestral-folk-rock bandmates, whose first self-titled release (performing under The Brighton) charted in the CMJ top 200 lists for 2010. While it was dominated by songs of love and loss, the band's sophomore effort, A Wild Hunger, finds a storytelling Rosenbush exploring more complex themes such as the lure of ambition, the fragility of hope, and the impending nature of change, as characters are often found struggling against the hungers of fate. Employing a more robust sound with the addition of experimental-flavored guitarist, Jacob Hanson, the band paints mural-sized landscapes that at times reach to explosive dynamics. But in the end, these songs still remain true to their folk birth-place, reassuring of their gentle nature."
