Bach's Transcriptions
Bach wrote an immense number of brilliant solo keyboard works, but he also made many transcriptions of music by himself and other composers. This program explores his arrangements of music originally written for solo violin, cello, and lute, as well as string concertos by Vivaldi and Reincken.
PROGRAM Concerto in d (after Oboe Concerto by Marcello) Sonata in D Minor (after the Violin Sonata in g) Partita in C (after Reincken) Suite (based on Cello Suite in c) Concerto in D (after Vivaldi) Prelude, Fugue, and Allegro (originally for lute)
