Marshall Elementary Schools 2nd Annual Best Tamale Contest
Help us find the best homemade tamale in the Mission and help Marshall Elementary School at the same time!
Marshall Elementary School is hosting the Second Annual Marshall Elementary School Tamale Contest. For $25 (advanced ticket price - $30 at the door), you get to sample the full variety of homemade tamales offered by our Mission-based tamale chefs - the parents of Marshall Elementary School students and our Mission neighbors.
This year, the tamale tasting will be held at the Roosevelt Tamale Parlor (2817 24th Street in San Francisco) on March 3, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM.
Prizes will be awarded to the cooks who create the best tasting tamales. The rest of the money will help the Marshall Elementary PTA fund areas that are not covered in the school budget, to include (but not limited to) technology for the classrooms, science-based field trips in support of the school's innovative Oceans Month program, and funding for organized team games and peer leadership during outdoor play.
Please purchase your tickets now and help support our local public school!
