On Sunday, January 19th in the Sanctuary of Centenary United Methodist Church, The Piedmont Baroque Consortium, will present an evening of Bach, Lotti, and Muffat. The Piedmont Baroque Consortium consists of VOX, The North Carolina Baroque Orhestra, The Centenary United Methodist Church Chamber Singers, and Members of the Greensboro Vocal Consort. Featured soloists for the evening will be Sopranos Margaret Carpenter and Abigail Haynes Lennox, Countertenor Reginald Mobley, Alto Emily Careen Caton, Tenor Glen Siebert, and Bass-baritone Neal Sharpe.
Featured on the program are Georg Muffat's Sonata V from Armonio Tributo, J.S. Bach's Canata BWV 1 "Wie schoen leuchtet der Morgenstern", and the modern-day, world premier performance of Antonio Lotti's Gloria in C No. 1.
