Cabaret 313 is proud to present Tony Award nominee Norm Lewis in his Detroit debut! In 2012, Norm (along with his co-star and dear friend Audra McDonald) took Broadway by storm, starring in the highly-acclaimed Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, which not only brought the singer/actor critical praise, he also received Best Leading Actor nominations from the Tony Awards, Drama Desk Awards, Drama League Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards.

After making his Broadway debut in The Who's Tommy, Norm's powerful baritone soon brought him notable roles in Miss Saigon, Side Show, Dreamgirls, Chicago, Dessa Rose (Drama Desk nomination) and The Wild Party. While co-starring with Barbara Cook and Vanessa Williams in Sondheim On Sondheim, critics singled out Norm's performance of "Being Alive" as one of the highlights of the production. In 2006, Mr. Lewis received such critical praise for his role as Javert in Les Misérables, he was asked to reprise the role in the West End production, the all-star 25th anniversary concert version, filmed at London's O2 Arena and the St. Louis MUNY Opera this summer. In the fall of 2013, toured of Scandinavia with Sweden's biggest musical theatre star, Peter Jöback (Phantom of the Opera).

With the most beautiful voice on Broadway, Norm can also be heard on his solo album, This Is The Life, as well as a number of cast recordings. On TV, the handsome actor has had roles on several shows, including All My Children (Asst. DA Keith McClean), As the World Turns and currently, as Senator Edison Davis on ABC's hit political-drama Scandal.
