Culture Clash: A Celebration of International Fusion
Join BCCC's Refugee Youth Project for an incredible evening! Culture Clash: A Celebration of International Fusion will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 to benefit RYP's mission of supporting the academic and extracurricular needs of Baltimore's youngest refugees. Enjoy this unique opportunity to travel the world in taste and sound!

Tickets include a pre-concert drink, followed by a gourmet, buffet-style dinner provided by Sweet 27 and the Woman's Industrial Kitchen. Dinner will be followed by the prodigious talents of Musicians of Mercy, who will play jazz, classical, bluegrass, and world music. Guests are welcome to join in on the entertainment by showcasing their own world-class dance moves!

Musicians of Mercy is a collective of over 70 independent musicians and artists based in the Baltimore/Metropolitan D.C. area. The group was founded by violist Robin Fay Massie-Pighee in January 2010 following Haiti's devastating earthquake. Through the production of themed benefit concerts, they continue to support humanitarian causes, just like RYP!

Irene Smith, the owner of the popular Baltimore-based food truck, Souper Freak, and of the Woman's Industrial Kitchen will be putting an international twist on her beloved comfort food. In addition, Sweet 27 chefs will create a delectable fusion of South Asian and Caribbean flavors to satisfy every palate. They are constantly working to come up with new blasts of sophisticated taste with a selection of local, all-natural, organic, and homemade foods.

Thanks to the support of many local businesses, RYP will host a silent auction featuring items from Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Longwood Gardens, National Aquarium Baltimore, and many, many more.
