Terrance Kelly, artistic director of the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir and renowned vocalist, will provide a discussion of the significance of the Negro spiritual, and other slave songs on American music and will follow the discussion with a performance with special guests.|
Terrance Kelly is an Emmy Award-winning, classically trained baritone who has graced various stages all around the world. He has worked on collaborations with Joan Baez, Michael Morgan of the Oakland Symphony and MC Hammer to name a few.
He will bring to share the stage with him on this night some of his most respected vocalists friends to assist with some of the chamber arrangements.
A wine reception will precede the performance, along with a discussion and Q&A portion.
