At the far end of Austria on the Czech border, the moral challenges of our civilization meet under a magnifying glass: guilt, responsibility and redemption. Forty chimpanzees live in a sealed-off, overgrown safari park. They are the survivors of the laboratory of Immuno, an Austrian pharmaceutical company. Infected with HIV and hepatitis viruses, traumatized and highly aggressive, they hate men with good reason. Two women who once guarded their cells are now charged with their rehabilitation can the chimpanzees truly heal from their painful past?
