Darwin Day Family Celebration

Join us for this unique celebration and programs for the whole family!
The event begins with a reading for everyone and will split off into two simultaenous programs.
Kids will participate in evolutionary explorations, a scavenger hunt, primate paintings, songs, stories, fossil making and more!
Adults will hear a three speaker panel w/ Q&A, a comedy parody, and readings from The Origin of the Species.
Everyone will come together at the end of the event for Birthday cake and a celebration in honor of Charlie Darwin!
Speakers include Arnell Dowret, host of "Equal Time for Free Thought" on WBAI on How Naturalistic Views Bring Beneficial Ideas; John Teehan, Professor of Philosophy at Hofstra University on Religion from an Evolutionary Prospective; and the Reverend Tom Goodhue, Executive Director of the Council of Churches will discuss Mary Anning, Precursor Paleontologist.
