Austin, TX -- The M.A.L.I Women's Film & Performance Arts Festival will highlight the art of 23 female musicians, 25 independent national and international women filmmakers and 4 industry workshop presenters. The theme this year is "Sustainability". This four-day festival will be held at the newly renovated Ruta Maya, Hot Mama Espresso, Cafe' Mundi and the Austin International Youth Hostel. Part media literacy conference, part film/television and literary marketplace, the purpose of this event is to increase the awareness of women's work international and through out the state of Texas.
All four nights will feature shorts, feature-length films and performances by women directors, musicians, literary artist and new media makers. For more information go to www.blowinupaspot.com
