Leadership Storytelling Training in Berkeley
What are stories, actually? How do they work? And how can the practice of finding, shaping and telling them help you clarify your vision, strengthen your alliances and help you more powerfully connect with your audience?
Led by Jay Golden, storyteller, story coach, co-founder of Wakingstar, and story director of Journeys, this highly interactive four-part workshop will to help you draw from your own life experience as you develop your repertoire of retellable stories. As the sessions progress, you'll learn from others around you, deepen your understanding of storytelling, practice your story-shaping, and develop five key stories that you can draw on for use in presentations, speeches, and various forms of media.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
*How to gather and translate insights from your experiences in a clear and concise manner
*How to clarify your messages, and anchor them in mind and memory
*How to find and shape retellable stories for various audiences and goals
*How to tell a core story, including your origin, your impacts, and your vision
