Disney Tap Workshop for Kids!

School is out for two weeks or more, and boredom is bound to set in! So get them out of the house for a little while with this fun and exciting 1-day workshop.

Tap to your favorite Disney songs! Students will learn basic and intermediate tap moves to a variety of Disney classics and popular songs. If you have a favorite Disney outfit, wear it. Let's have fun tap tap tappin' away! All levels welcome.

$10 for registered Cal Arts students; $12 for unregistered students.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Malinda Asbury studied her first love of dance starting at the age of 4 at Cynthia Merrill School of the Performing Arts. Since then has studied various styles of dance through a variety of dance masters around Fresno. Malinda grew a passion for teaching and choreographing while attending Bullard TALENT. After graduating from Roosevelt School of the Arts, she pursed her passion for dance and received a B.A. degree in Dance at San Jose State University. Her studies included Modern, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Latin Dance, Capoeira, and Choreography. While in college, Malinda has performed with Mantanceros (salsa) and trained under Joelle Maletis at SJSU. After graduating from San Jose State, Malinda has performed, choreographed and taught jazz and tap at Good Company Players. She currently teaches jazz at Bullard TALENT, and jazz, tap, and salsa at California Arts Academy. Malinda continues to pursue teaching others the same passion of dance she has grown to love and can not live without.
