Holiday Fundraiser for Deja Ellison
This Holiday Fundraiser will help Deja pay for production and music video.

Born on May 25, 1998, Pennsylvania, Deja Lenee Ellison daughter to Daryll Ellison Sr, and Roxaine Ovid. Deja is the second child and looks up to her big brother Daryll Ellison Jr. Deja attends Muhlenberg High School School in Temple, PA. Deja started singing at the age of three when she would hear different family members singing oldies at family gatherings.

Deja Ellison first hit the stage when she was only six years old performing at a dance recital. Ever since, she has felt comfortable singing, dancing, and acting in front of a crowd.

At the age of eight Deja brought home a victory at the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem. At nine, Deja brought home another victory for the state of Pennsylvania as the winner of Miss Sunburst USA. Deja represented PA at the national Sunburst Pageant where she earned Best Talent in her age group. At age of eleven Deja was invited to sing with the prestigious Harlem Boys and Girls Choir. This talented young lady has also performed the National Anthem at the Reading Phillies, The Reading Express, Reading High School, and the Puerto Rican Heritage Festival.

In 2011, Deja recorded her first song, "Your Show" written and produced by By Bynee Fatah. "Your Show" made it on the Coast to Coast Mix Tape Vol. 185. That same year Deja opened up for Reggae artist Serani.

Deja enjoys making her audience feel good, and that's exactly what she did when she was invited to sing at radio personality Tiffany Bacon's First Annual Dream Birthday Party at Elana's Soul in Philadelphia, PA. Bacon was so impressed that she gave Deja a scholarship to help further her singing career. In 2012, Warmdaddy's in Philadelphia, PA welcomed Deja, and in 2013 she was a special guest performing with The Groovemaster's alongside the gifted musician and Grammy award winner, Benny Sims.

During the summer of 2013, Deja shared the stage with Greg Nice, Special Ed and many more at Brooklyn Bowl. She has been very busy this year and was so excited to have the opportunity to open up for Styles P and Uncle Murder at Club Griffin in NYC during a fundraiser for In Arms Reach hosted by RIZE and Esteban Serrano of Fuse TV.

Deja has recently expanded her team under the direction of her parents and manager Edna Garcia-Dipini of the The RIZE group LLC. Deja is currently taking vocal lessons from her amazing vocal coach, Troy Randall. Deja works very hard and enjoys the opportunities she has to meet new people. She was recently interviewed by WGIV Radio in Charlotte, NC as well as WEEU Radio in Reading, PA. Deja also sang a tribute to Lauryn Hill at the Video Music Box 30th Celebration, "All Hail The Queen".

A highly motivated teenager, on top of cheerleading and basketball, Deja understands that in order to make it big in the music industry it requires dedication, hard work, practice and a good work ethic. In addition to all that she already does, Deja is also in the process of establishing the Deja Ellison Foundation to help youth in her community. Deja works within her community serving food to the less fortunate at the Afro/Latino Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner and fixing up playgrounds in the City of Reading with the Gilmore/Henne Community Fund.

Deja is inspired by Beyonce, Aaliyah, Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Patti Labelle, Diana Ross and Etta James, and is currently working on her LP that will be released in May 2014.
