Description
The Mill Valley Chamber Music Society presents the Felici Piano Trio in a concert of chamber music at the Mt. Tamalpais United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 5:00 pm. The church has wonderful acoustics for chamber music. The Program: Beethoven-"Ghost" Trio, op. 70 #1; Ireland-Phantasie Trio; Dvorak-"Dumky" Trio in e minor, op. 90.
Spanning three continents the Felici Trio is comprised of  Taiwanese pianist Wen-Ting Huang, German violinist Rebecca Hang and American cellist Brian Schuldt. Felici members are prize winners of the Chesapeake, Yellow Springs and Osaka chamber music competitions and graduates of the renowned School of Music of Indiana University, Bloomington. They have performed over 350 concerts in Europe, South America and the U.S. They have toured in Germany with Rhineland-Palatinate's Kultursommer, appeared on ZDF television and recorded for German Southwest Radio (SWF). They make a bi-yearly trip to Tuscany to coach and perform at the Montalto Castle near Siena.
The Felici Trio is currently in residence in Mammoth Lakes where they present both a winter season and a summer festival. They include well known international musicians in the festival but also devote themselves to outreach for both children and adults and helping other groups learn the basics of playing chamber music. Along with the traditional repertoire,  Felici regularly programs works by female and contemporary composers. For more information go to www.felicitrio.com
