What's a Noise? It's a party! In nearly every culture across the world and throughout history, people have found great cause to celebrate the change of seasons.
On the winter solstice on the 21st of December, we plan on honoring our little corner of Southern California with all the things that make North East Los Angeles great.
Beat the chill with warm bites from local restaurants and vendors, and enjoy workshops in everything from yoga & meditation to theater & improv games.
And of course, how could we call it a Noise without showcasing some of the talent of NELA? Dance the night away to live music, and enjoy live poetry and comedy as you eat and drink to your heart's content.
In honor of the holiday season and cultural history of Highland Park and the surrounding area, Teatro Arroyo will present a workshop version of our LA Pastorela. This updated take on the traditional Christmas story of shepherds seeking the nativity is set in modern day Los Angeles. There will be angles and devils, comedy, action filled fights, and plenty that will leave everyone feeling happy and festive.
Come get LOUD with us this winter!
