In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts - Day long workshop with Gabor Mate and Rebekah Demirel
On May 17th from 10 am-6pm Gabor and Rebekah offer a full day experiential training involving group work, one-on-one processing of emotional issues, and some didactic presentation of Eastern and Western medical perspectives on the physiology of stress as it applies to addiction, illness, and the mind/body unity.
Also introduced will be Eastern and Western self-care techniques such as Qigong and EFT and mindfulness-based body awareness. The workshop is appropriate for, but not limited to, service providers who wish to expand their knowledge of the very human subjects of physical and mental illness and addictiontheir sources and some new ways to approach intervention and treatment.
People who plan to attend the Saturday workshop are encouraged to also attend the Friday night talk. Space is limited.
