Prospect Concerts: Dane Terry and Trevor Wilson & Vocal Ensemble
Prospect Concerts and Chris Faroe present:
Dane Terry and Trevor Wilson & Vocal Ensemble. The December edition of our candle-lit, acoustic mansion shows on Prospect Park. The best music in the best venue in Brooklyn.
BYO, all ages, super cheap refreshments available, sliding scale admission at the door (no-one turned away until we reach capacity).
Dane Terry is a performer and composer based in NYC. Terry's songs act as surreal theater miniatures that range from dark to funny. Couched in Sci-Fi themes and what he terms "Frillbilly" music, his performances often take the form of bizarre vignettes stacking ultimately up to a dubious world. He has performed as part of the HOT festival of queer theater at Dixon Place 3 years in a row, toured internationally and he continues to perform in theaters and venues all around NYC including Joes Pub, Bowery Poetry and La Mama.
Trevor Wilson and Vocal Ensemble
TWVE is a five-piece group that performs alternative vocal-driven music composed by Trevor Wilson.
NYC based since 2011, the group has carved out an idiosyncratic stylistic niche; a mixture of five-part layered, difficult harmonies, delivered in a straightforward tone, over a casual nylon guitar and soft-nightmare electronics. The result is new-folk, art-pop, escaping any particular idiom; just beautiful and compelling music.
