Story Forms TM is a prototype program presented by Minnesota Public Radio. The show curates a collection of storytellers that blends personal narratives with a music & sound underscore. Holiday on our Minds is the Story Forms theme that explores the different ways people experience December by looking at the intersection between the holidays and mental health. The 90-minute show will be co-hosted by Minnesota Public Radio's reporters Annie Baxter and Curtis Gilbert. The live, true stories will be shaped through a variety of selected storytellers, providing the audience with narratives ranging from heartfelt insights to a comic reprieve. The event will feature notables such as David Wellstone sharing his story of how he dealt with the holiday season after the loss of his father, mother and sister in a plane crash in 2002. Dr. Jon Hallberg from the University of Minnesota will talk about how medical school affected his stress and anxiety levels throughout college and over the holidays. We will also feature a 2-MinuteTales segment presenting our MPR audiences on-line video submissions We will ask how the Holidays are on everyone's mind with plans to present some of the best video selections at the show. Musical direction for the evening will be provided by Sam Keenan.
