LAUREN DESBERG STEVE COTTER KEVIN HSIEH
Only two years ago, Kevin Hsieh started his studies on upright bass and began listening to and playing jazz in his high school. He has proven to be a quick learner, moving to New York and immediately playing around the citys competitive jazz scene, appearing as a sideman at venues such as the Garage, Cleopatras Needle, and the iconic Smalls Jazz Club. New York has proven to be a great learning experience for him, allowing him to work with musicians such as Don Sickler, Gene Jackson, Steve Wilson, Jon Batiste, Grant Stewart, Jon Irabagon, and Bertha Hope and playing alongside musicians such as Wynton Marsalis, Walter Blanding, Victor Goines, Dan Nimmer, and Kurt Rosenwinkel.
