As athletes, we want, at the very least to maintain our fitness during this time of year, but face increased obligations that eat away at our already limited training time. There is also the temptation of sweets and goodies that are everywhere! So how do we survive and come out of it at the other end with our sanity and our fitness without needing to buy a new wardrobe? The focus of this webinar will be discussing practical ways of making it through the holiday season with minimal weight gain and maximum fitness, while still enjoying the festivities.
Felicia Gomez, PhD is the Founder of Pinnacle Training Systems and a Former Professional Athlete. Felicia earned a Ph.D. in Exercise Metabolism and Nutrition from the University of Guelph, Canada in 2000. She has over 15 years of teaching experience at the University and College level and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at CSU, Fresno. She has published several articles in scientific journals related to training, nutrition and sports performance. Felicia also comes from a long history of elite level training and competition. She has over 20 years of running experience, 5 years of professional duathlon competition and 5 years as a professional cyclist. In 2012 she won the US Master's National Road Cycling Championship for her age group.
