Shirly's Variety Show Extraordinaire!
Here's December 14th Line-Up:

Ray Halliday
Ray Halliday works as an English professor and editor in San Francisco and Daly City. For six years, he worked as a night cabbie. He is a pastor. He is a great songwriter and good musician. His old band was the Buckets, and his new band is called the Verms. He wrote, produced, and acted in four short films called The Existentialists. He also acted in the award winning film, Finding Dee Dee and the the short film, The Chain. He writes short stories and poems. In 1991, he was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. He did not win that award. His stories have been characterized as minimalist, or flash. The Kid That Even the Dogs Didn't Like, his first collection of stories, was published in September of 2013 by Mammoth Books. It is only 74 pages long, and it costs $14.95.

Beth McKenna and Rick Kvoriak
Beth McKenna and Rick Kvoriak play wistful pop songs that make you want to hum along. Beth and Rick have performed together in several Bay Area bands, most notably Shitty Shitty Band Band. RIck is also busy these days with his boy band, The Ogres.

Clowns On A Stick
Clowns On A Stick (Christina Lewis, Lluis Valls, and James Pelican) have been wearing red noses with each other since 2003. They have been creating short pieces as well as their full length show "To Bury A Cat" without a care for personal safety or that of the audience. They are not afraid to employ rubber chickens, kazoos, accordions, or small explosive devices in their work. Though the bombs go off every once in a while, these clowns are mostly docile and obey commands about as well as your average house cat.

Teresa Tudury
Hold on to your seats as Teresa Tudury takes you on a musical journey of wild and powerful songs and stories from the depths of her incredibly rich and inspiring repertoire.

Picture a cross between Bette Midler and Bonnie Raitt musically, and toss in the most side-splitting stage patter imaginable, and you have Ms. Tudury.
Johnny Angel, LA Weekly

Andy Murdock
Andy Murdock is the founder of Lots of Robots Inc, an animation and sound design studio and is a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute where he studied painting and film making. He has twice been nominated for an Emmy for his 3d animations created for National Geographic Explorer. Andy is currently composing songs for his first album of electronic music.

Karry Walker and Myles Boisen
Karry Walker (Ultralash) and Myles Boisen (Club Foot Orchestra / Mark Growden band) revisit the days of Tin Pan Alley and Hawaiian kitsch as Hollywood Laundrette. Backed by Boisen's acoustic slide guitar and her own ukelele, Karry croons toe-tappin' tunes of a simpler time, while addressing modern topics such as pregnancy tests, punk rock squats, alienation, and criminal tendencies.
