Acting for Alzheimer's: Eighth Day of the Week
November is a time many Americans begin to focus on gratitude and giving. There are times we want our giving to make a difference but we don't always know how to get involved. Here is a unique opportunity for you to enjoy an entertaining evening and make a difference at the same time.
On Sunday, November 17, the Power and Purpose Team will present a dramatic reading of The Eighth Day of the Week by Wilson Pickett. This is the story of one woman's challenges and triumphs as the primary caregiver to her mother in the early stages of Alzheimer's. This dramatic experience marks one of many opportunities for local actors to merge their creative talent with community outreach. The goal of PPP Inc. is to raise mental health (including cognitive, mood and personality disorders) awareness through the performing arts.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Alzheimer's Association Southland Chapter.
