Cider Blending Workshop
Join us as our cider expert, Brian Trout, walks us through a rundown on what we can do with cider once the fermentation is through, and how we can make a better product via blending, adding fruits & spices, and acid & tannin balancing.
The workshop will include a blending component. You'll get to make your very own proprietary blend of two ciders, and then treat them with back-sweetening, acid, tannin, and other various flavorings. We'll go through the whole process together to discuss the general concept. The class will conclude with time for you and your classmates to experiment and share your blending experiments.
The class will not focus on the basics of cider making and it's history. It assumes that you have a basic grasp on the process and general terminology. However, basic questions are welcome, and we are confident that anyone will take something from the overall experience.
